On December 30, 2020, Smorgon Experimental Forestry (Belarus) was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest with an investment project on the woodprocessing plant for the production of wood fuel-pellets.
The main idea of the investment project is to organize pellet production on the plot No. 11 of FEZ Grodnoinvest in Smorgon, involving low-quality wood and edgings. All of manufactured products will be exported.
The implementation of the project will expand the range of products, increase the scale of production and export capacity, increase profitability and efficiency of production, create additional jobs and increase budget contributions. The project will create 18 new jobs. The total investment costs will amount to over 2.5 million euros. The company plans to start production by the end of 2021.
