The meeting of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-Turkish Business Council was held in Minsk with the participation of FEZ Grodnoinvest

The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the meeting of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-Turkish Business Council, which was held in Minsk on December 11, 2019.

At the meeting, the head of foreign economic activity departmentof of FEZ the administration Denis Shuleiko spoke about the results of cooperation with Turkish partners in 2019, outlined the problematic questions of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents regarding the products export to the Turkish market, shared promising plans on cooperation in 2020.

It is worth mentioning  that in 2019 the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest participated in a number of business meetings with Turkish partners, including negotiations with the members of the Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association, a meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission and the Belarusian-Turkish Business Forum in Ankara. In October this year, together with the Embassy of Belarus in Turkey, the Belarusian-Turkish regional business forum and the contact and cooperation exchange with the participation of business circles of Eskisehir and over 30 companies of Grodno region were organized in FEZ. Cooperation agreements have been signed with a number of Turkish industrial chambers and industrial parks.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich talked about the dynamics and prospects of cooperation with Turkish business, the co-chair of the Belarusian-Turkish business council Dmitry Dichkovsky shared the history and success of this organizational structure, expressed his support in promoting interests of Belarusian business in interaction with Turkish current and potential partners.

The event was also attended by representatives of the National Agency for Investment and Privatization, Dabrabyt Bank, Amkador, BMZ, Arzinger & Partners Law Firm, Stepanovsky, Papakul & Partners Law Office, and others.

In 2018, the turnover of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents with the Republic of Turkey amounted to $ 10.1 million (growth rate of 266%), including export of $ 5.4 million (growth rate of 540%). Belarusian companies supply chemical products, furniture, plastic products. An enterprise with the Turkish capital Europlastex Invest Ltd. operates as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest.

One of the topics for discussion during the meeting of the Business Council was the organization of the Belarusian-Turkish Investment Forum in summer 2020.
