Investment and economic potential of FEZ Grodnoinvest presented in the Komi Republic

On August 26-27, a delegation of official and business circles from the Grodno region visited the Komi Republic of the Russian Federation. As part of eventful meetings, Russian circles were presented with the investment opportunities of the free economic zone Grodnoinvest and the special tourist and recreational Park Augustow Canal, the trade, economic and production potential of FEZ residents.

The delegation of the Grodno region was headed by the chairman of the Grodno regional executive committee Vladimir Karanik. The delegation included the head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov, the chairman of the Grodno city executive committee Mechislav Goy, the general director of the Grodno branch of the BelCCI Miroslav Sarosek, heads of leading Belarusian enterprises in the food, agro-industrial, machine-building industries.

During the contact and cooperation exchange with business circles of the Republic of Komi, Dmitry Rozhkov presented the capabilities of FEZ Grodnoinvest, including preferences and FEZ tools for the effective implementation of investment projects, spoke about promising areas of trade and economic cooperation, held negotiations with a number of Russian companies.

As part of the visit, head of administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the fifth meeting of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Komi. In his speech, Dmitry Rozhkov noted that the Russian Federation is the largest investor and trade partner of FEZ Grodnoinvest. Over the past five years, trade with Russian companies has tripled and in 2021 exceeded $1.2 billion. 8 resident enterprises with Russian capital are successfully implementing their projects in FEZ. The total volume of investments from the Russian Federation as of July 2022 exceeded $390 million.
