Videoconference on cooperation with Africa was held with the participation of FEZ Grodnoinvest
On December 9, a video conference "Africa - Belarus: the current situation and new guidelines for joint business projects" was held. The event was organized by the BelCCI and the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The conference was attended by the leadership of the BelCCI, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic missions of North African countries, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Burkina Faso, the Republic of Namibia, South Sudan and other countries. Over 200 business representatives from the Belarusian side joined the event.
The parties discussed the current and prospective cooperation between Belarus and African countries. In particular, such potential areas as mechanical engineering and the creation of appropriate infrastructure, food production and agricultural machinery, education, medicine, and IT technologies were identified.
Residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest export their products to such African countries as Algeria, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria, Somalia. These are mainly products of the chemical industry. Earlier, the administration of FEZ took part in the online seminar “Belarus - Africa: a multi-vector economic policy of the Republic of Belarus in the international arena”.
