A webinar on doing business in the UAE was held with the participation of FEZ Grodnoinvest

On February 17, the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the webinar “Doing Business in the UAE: Dubai for Belarusian Companies”. The event was held jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the UAE, the export agency Dubai Exports and the National Center for Marketing and Price Study.

The webinar featured presentations on the investment and economic activities of the Dubai Exports Agency, the free economic zone of Dubai International Airport, the free economic zones of Dubai Jebel Ali and Al Futaim Logistics.

Within the framework of the event, the achievements and further plans for the development of the SEZ were reflected, proposals were presented for Belarusian companies for the lease of office premises, multimodal logistics and re-export of products to the markets of the region. The business circles of the UAE confirmed their interest in Belarusian-made goods, as well as in establishing trade between the countries.

In recent years, cooperation has been developing between the business circles of the UAE and the FEZ Grodnoinvest. The export of FEZ residents to the Arab country at the end of 2020 exceeded 570 thousand US dollars, which is twice as much as in 2019. Belarusian companies supply chemical products and furniture to the UAE. In total, in 2020, the export of FEZ residents approached the $ 1 billion mark.

FEZ Grodnoinvest has one resident with capital from the UAE - Vilaris OJSC. The company provides export services in the field of transport logistics at the industrial site of the FEZ in the Grodno region. In total, the FEZ Grodnoinvest attracted over USD 1.8 million of investments from the UAE.
