Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus was held in FEZ Grodnoinvest

On February 15, 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus Alok Ranjan Jha visited the Free Economic Zone of Grodnoinvest. The purpose of the visit was to conduct negotiations with the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest, to study the investment, trade, economic and industrial potential of the FEZ and the Grodno region.

Alok Ranjan Jha was appointed as Ambassador of India to Belarus in July 2021. Previously, he worked in the Indian embassies in France, Senegal, Afghanistan, oversaw issues of India's relations with the countries of East and South Africa, Western Europe.

During the meeting, the Head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest, Dmitry Rozhkov, spoke about the benefits of implementing investment projects in the FEZ, trade and economic potential, as well as the interest in developing business relations with Indian businesses in certain areas: pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, chemical production and light industry. The opportunities for creating industrial enterprises were presented to the attention of the Ambassador of India.

Taking into account the existing potential of bilateral cooperation, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation between FEZ Grodnoinvest and Indian business, as well as organizing joint events in 2022.

The meeting was also attended by Miroslav Sarosek, Director General of the Grodno branch of the BelCCI, who presented the main activities of the branch, informed about the current state of cooperation with Indian business circles and expressed interest in enhancing interaction between the CCIs of the two countries.
