The presentation of the mobile application M6 Grodno for tourists took place in Grodno
The presentation of the first version of the mobile application M6 Grodno was held on June 21, 2019, in Grodno. The application is a tourist Auto-guide of Grodno region roads and is available for Android and iOS users in Google Play and AppStore app stores.
This product is the first in the country and is designed to help travelers and foreign tourists during their trip. The app will inform the user about the sights, hotels, roadside cafes, petrol stations and other facilities located near M6 Minsk-Grodno highway. Thus, by simplifying the travelling and planning the tourist route, the new program will make the journey convenient.
Since 2011, there has been a steady growth in tourist flows to Grodno region and Park Avgustov Canal. The increase in the tourist flow was facilitated by the introduction in October 2016 of a visa-free regime for foreign citizens. From January 1, 2018, the length of stay without a visa was increased to 10 days, the territory of the visa-free regime (Grodno region) was expanded, and air and railway checkpoints were also included.
The Augustow Canal Park was created in 2011 and is a unique natural area for investment project implementation in tourism and recreation spheres on favorable terms using tax and customs benefits. The tax burden for residents of the park is reduced by over 70%, which allows minimizing costs and reducing the project payback period.
