The creation of a council of heads of administrations of Free Economic Zones is planned in Belarus
This initiative was announced during the business meeting of the heads of administrations of the Belarusian Free Economic Zones on June 21, 2018 in Vitebsk.
This structure will be an effective platform for a comprehensive solution of the issues of improving the investment legislation of our country, and will also contribute to the development of a consolidated position on various issues of the activities of territories with a special legal regime.
The council will include heads of FEZ administrations, representatives of the National Agency for Investments and Privatization, as well as the industrial park Great Stone.
It is planned a statute of the council and other regulation documents by the end of the summer of this year to develop. The council meetings will be held at least once a year, alternately in each region of Belarus.
There are six Free Economic Zones in Belarus (one in each regional center). For 20 years of existence, FEZ have proved to be an effective instrument for attracting foreign investment to the economy, as well as an instrument of social and economic development of the regions of Belarus.
