The throughput capacity of checkpoints in the Grodno region will increase in 2019
In order to create conditions for comfortable and safe border crossing, as well as to reduce the time of customs control, the Grodno Regional Customs implements projects to modernize and improve the infrastructure of the Bruzgi and Kamenny Log checkpoints.
In May 2019, construction work will be completed at one of the largest checkpoints on the Belarusian-Polish border, Bruzgi. As a result of the reconstruction, its capacity will increase (primarily in the freight direction), which is especially important in light of the growing traffic flows and the implementation of the project to create a multimodal logistics center Grodno, in which residents of the Grodnoinvest FEZ participate.
It is planned to begin the reconstruction of another large Kamenny Log checkpoint. After the completion of the work, its capacity will increase almost three times and will amount to 6 thousand cars per day in 2019.
Note that the year 2018 has become significant for the development of logistics activities in the Grodno region and the FEZ "Grodnoinvest". Immediately seven logistics companies with a total volume of declared investments of over 55 million euros became residents of the FEZ at sites in the Grodno and Svisloch districts.
