Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus visited FEZ Grodnoinvest
On March 3, 2020, the management of Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus headed by Yuri Zolotarev visited the free economic zone Grodnoinvest. The guests studied the investment and industrial potential of the region, learned about the preferential tax regime in FEZ, and discussed the prospects of cooperation in engineering and metalworking spheres, as well as in logistics.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, the representative of the state corporation Rostec in the Republic of Belarus Alexander Davydov, the consultant of the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Rudolf Isakov, the general director of Grodno branch of BelCCI Miroslav Sarosek, the management of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest.
After the meeting, the Russian side visited FEZ Grodnoinvest enterprises with Russian capital: ZOV-PLITA JLtd., BelGro Ltd., and TechoChimReagentBel Ltd.
$ 343 million of foreign investments were attracted from the Russian Federation, or 32% of the total volume in FEZ Grodnoinvest. In 2019, the turnover of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents with Russia exceeded $ 810 million and increased by 4% compared to the previous year. Over five years the trade grew by 2.2 times.
