The visit of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Belarus took place

The administration of the FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Belarus, Paul van Oostwein, which took place on May 16, 2019 in the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

During the negotiations, issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation between enterprises of the Grodno region and the Kingdom of the Netherlands were discussed. Special attention was paid to the expansion of cooperation in the field of tourism and agriculture, the benefits of implementing investment projects in the FEZ Grodnoinvest, as well as the possibility of the arrival of low-cost airlines from the Netherlands to Grodno.

Following the meeting, the Charge d'Affaires of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Belarus received cooperation proposals of the administration of the FEZ Grodnoinvest in the investment, industrial and logistic spheres.

The trade turnover of the residents of the FEZ Grodnoinvest with the Kingdom of the Netherlands for 2018 amounted to $ 1.8 million. Exports - $ 0.2 million (growth rate - 51%), imports - $ 1.6 million (growth rate - 115%). Exports are formed by the supply of licitins and phosphoaminolipids (Belagroterminal), timber products (Floart) and wooden products.

For the implementation of investment projects, residents of the FEZ Grodnoinvest (Kronospan NT, Ultraplay, BelagroterminalKronospan) attracted $ 133.4 million in investments from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which represents 17% of the total volume of attracted foreign investments. In 2018, $ 40 million was attracted, in the first quarter of 2019, $ 16.4 million.

Previously, cooperation in tourism, logistics, and the organization of low-cost carrier flights from the airport in Grodno were discussed at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in the Republic of Belarus in the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.
