FEZ Grodnoinvest in 2021: production increased by 44% to 4.6 billion rubles

The volume of industrial production by residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest increased by 1.4 times in 2021 and exceeded the mark of 4.6 billion rubles. Growth drivers were wood and paper products, chemical products, electronic and optical equipment.

At the end of 2021, the residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest produced 31% of all industrial products in the Grodno region. This is 3 percentage points more than last year and 12 percentage points higher – compared to 2017. 67% of the products of FEZ residents are exported to more than 60 countries of the world, which indicates the competitiveness of Grodno enterprises in world markets.

Half of the production of FEZ Grodnoinvest is provided by the enterprises of the Smorgon region. The furniture cluster is successfully developing here. At the industrial sites of FEZ in the Grodno city, which was recently recognized as the best in the country for life and business, residents produced goods worth 1.2 billion rubles with a growth rate of 122%. The leaders in terms of industrial production growth were enterprises located in the industrial parks of FEZ Grodnoinvest in Mosty (+89%), Smorgon (+55%) and Slonim (+52%) districts.

In the context of industries, the largest share in the production volume of FEZ Grodnoinvest is occupied by woodworking products and furniture (40%). In 2021, the volume of production in this sector amounted to 1.9 billion rubles. More than 25 woodworking enterprises successfully operate in FEZ Grodnoinvest, including well-known companies Kronospan, Szynaka Meble, ZOV, Taipit and others. The leaders in terms of production growth in 2021 were computing, electronic and optical equipment (+77%), wood and paper products (+77%), chemical products (+67%), electrical equipment (+47%).

In total, in 2021, 4 new residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest were registered with investment projects in the chemical, metalworking and logistics industries, which will be implemented in Grodno and the Grodno region.
