FEZ Grodnoinvest became the best in Belarus in terms of investments in fixed assets in the first three months of 2022
In January-March 2022, residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest invested over 94 million rubles in the implementation of investment projects, of which 89 million rubles were investments in fixed assets. This is the best indicator among the FEZ of the Republic. Compared to the same period last year, investments increased by 22%.
Foreign sources account for 44% of the total investment in fixed capital, which is also the best indicator among the Republic's FEZs. Foreign and domestic companies spent most of their investments (63%) on the purchase of new machines, equipment, vehicles and tools.
The structure of investments testifies to the active construction of new production facilities and the modernization of existing ones. Only in the second quarter of this year, 14 new facilities of resident enterprises located at industrial sites in Grodno and the Grodno region, Slonim, Novogrudok, Lida will be set in operation in FEZ Grodnoinvest.
In total, during the first quarter, FEZ Grodnoinvest received $135 million of foreign investments from 12 countries, including the Netherlands, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Austria, Great Britain, Poland and others. For the further effective operation of FEZ in the Grodno region, its territory was optimized taking into account the needs of business and the strategy for the development of the regional economy.
