FEZ Grodnoinvest develops cooperation with one of the largest free trade zones in Shanghai

On November 8, 2023, the management of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest visited the Lin-gang free trade zone, located in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The parties exchanged experience in the field of attracting investment, improving the investment climate and developing preferential territories for doing business.

The head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov presented the trade and investment potential of FEZ Grodnoinvest for the Chinese side, as well as the project to create the Grodno Industrial Park, the construction of which began on site No. 4 of FEZ Grodnoinvest (Auls district). The parties agreed to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of investment and trade, and worked out issues of joint promotion of goods to the markets of the EAEU, EU and Asia.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to logistics issues. FEZ Grodnoinvest is the leader among the FEZs of Belarus in implementing projects in the field of logistics. Today, 8 investment projects with various specializations are being implemented in this sector, including transshipment of agricultural products, wood processing, transshipment of petroleum products, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, as well as wholesale trade involving air logistics. The Chinese side showed interest in exploring opportunities for implementing projects in the field of logistics on the territory of FEZ Grodnoinvest.

Earlier, the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the Day of the Grodno Region as part of the 6th Chinese International Import Exhibition in Shanghai.

In 2019, Lin-gang Special Area was included in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free-Trade Zone, due to which the territory of the Free-Trade Zone has doubled in size. The Special Area's operating policies are aimed at meeting the standards of the most competitive free trade zones in the world.
