FEZ Grodnoinvest expands cooperation with business circles of Serbia

On May 19, during a working visit to Serbia, the head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov presented to potential partners the investment, trade, economic and production potential of the Grodno region, business opportunities in FEZ Grodnoinvest. He also took part in the Serbian-Belarusian Business Forum, following which a Memorandum of Cooperation with the leadership of the Novi Sad Free Zone was signed.

In his presentation, Dmitry Rozhkov presented Serbian companies with projects in the field of logistics, taking into account the unique location of the Grodno region and the developed transport infrastructure, as well as an investment idea to create a unique industrial park in Grodno, which is already underway.

Free Zone Novi Sad became the first partner of FEZ Grodnoinvest in the Balkans. The parties agreed to intensify bilateral relations in the information and investment fields, to hold joint events and exchange business missions. The implementation of joint initiatives will make it possible to maintain and strengthen the positive dynamics of the export of goods of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents to Serbia, the volume of which in 2022 exceeded $1 million. It is expected that the first visit of a Serbian delegation will be organized in Grodno this year.

The Free Zone Novi Sad is strategically located in the Balkans. It is located next to the Serbian capital Belgrade and not far from the state border with Croatia, Bosnia, Romania and Hungary. The river port of Novi Sad is one of the largest ports on the Danube and is the center of cargo transportation in the region. The road network of Novi Sad is connected to the Pan-European Corridor X and the Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade railway line.

As part of the visit, the head of the administration of FEZ also plans a number of business meetings with Serbian companies to promote investments from the countries of the Balkan Peninsula to the Grodno region, as well as a visit to the Agricultural Trade Fair Novi Sad exhibition, one of the participants of which is FEZ resident enterprise Lakokraska.
