FEZ Grodnoinvest participated in the work of the Belarusian-Ukrainian Council of Business Cooperation
On November 11, 2020, the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest in an online format participated in the work of the Belarusian-Ukrainian Business Cooperation Advisory Council. The event was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Over 200 Belarusian and Ukrainian enterprises and organizations took part in the meeting. The participants exchanged opinions, discussed the prospects for development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as problematic issues of doing business, barriers that have arisen and measures taken to expand bilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of the Advisory Council, a remote ceremony was organized for the signing of bilateral commercial contracts and agreements between the regional branches of the chambers of commerce and industry of the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine, planned to be concluded during the third Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Grodno in October this year.
Ukraine is traditionally included in the top 3 trading partners of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents and forms about 14% of the total trade turnover. Since 2017, this indicator has grown 4.2 times and reached $ 200 million. It is based on the export of FEZ residents ($ 127 million, a growth rate of 137%). Import at the end of 2019 amounted to $ 106 million with a growth rate of 105%. During the period of FEZ functioning, $ 3.3 million of foreign investment was attracted from Ukraine. There is a resident with Ukrainian capital - TechoChimReagentBel Ltd. Resident companies Belagrofert Ltd., Conte Spa JLtd., Kronospan Ltd., Lakokraska JSC, Belagroterminal Ltd. actively cooperate with the Ukrainian business.
