FEZ Grodnoinvest presented a new image video of the park Augustow Canal
The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest presented a new image video dedicated to the special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal. The video is available on FEZ website and the official YouTube channel.
The Augustow Canal is an outstanding 19th-century hydraulic engineering structure and is a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage. The total length of the canal is over 100 km, 22 km of which run through Belarus from the Belarusian-Polish border to where the canal flows into the Neman River on the border with Lithuania. The 45 km long artificial channels connect eleven rivers and seven lakes.
Every year, the Belarusian part of the Augustow Canal is visited by over 100 000 tourists from all over the world to enjoy the original hospitality, unique culture, traditions and customs.
The special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal was created in 2011 and is a unique natural area for the implementation of investment projects in the field of tourism and recreation on favorable terms using tax and customs preferences. The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest manages the special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal.
The park includes the territories of the Grodno region and the city of Grodno, adjacent to the Belarusian part of the Augustow Canal along the bed of the Neman River, as well as individual areas near the villages of Svyatsk, Radzivilki and Sopotskin with a total area of over 5.7 thousand hectares. In total, the park territory provides for 16 areas of prospective development.
The new video presentation shows the key benefits for developing tourism projects in the Park Augustow Canal, and also visualises promising ideas for implementation within the free areas.
Today, 3 residents are implementing their projects in the special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal:
- MBA Investment LLC with an investment project for the reconstruction of the buildings of the former brewery in Grodno;
- NomadHouse Grodno LLC with an investment project for the creation of a tourist glamping center in the area of the village of Peschany;
- LagoBel LLC with an investment project for the creation of a multifunctional hotel complex in the area of Dombrovka-Chertok.
The investor is provided with tax and customs preferences, and the comprehensive support is provided on the ONE STOP principle.
- Profit tax – 0% – on profit within 5 years from the date of profit declaration. After 5 years, the profit tax rate is reduced by 50%.
- Real estate tax – 0% – for real estate on buildings and structures located on the territory of the park.
- Value added tax (VAT) – 0% – from turnover on the sale of goods (work, services) of own production.
- Customs duties – 0% – import customs duties and VAT when importing technological equipment, components and spare parts to it, raw materials and materials to the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
- No auction for land plots – the site for the implementation of the investment project on the territory of the Park is provided to the Park resident without an auction.
On the territory of the special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal there is a visa-free regime, which gives the right to visit its territory to tourists from 73 countries of the world for 15 days.
