FEZ Grodnoinvest was visited by the delegation of Hainan province of the People's Republic of China
The delegation of Chinese Province Hainan visited the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest on December 17, 2018. The purpose of the visit was establishing business contacts with the leadership of Grodno region and FEZ Grodnoinvest, studying promising areas of cooperation.
The Chinese delegation was headed by the Vice-Chairman of the Hainan Committee of the People’s Political Consultative Council of China (CPPCC), Mr. Wang Yong.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to cooperation in tourism, culture, trade and agriculture, as well as strengthening friendly and business relations between the regions of both countries.
Reference: Hainan is an island province in southern China. Haikou is the capital of the province and the largest city. Statistics data show that Haikou's GDP in the first half of 2018 reached 79.749 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1% over the previous year. In the first half of 2018, 15,000 new enterprises were registered in Haikou, which is 31.8% more than in the previous year. Agriculture is highly developed in the region. Due to the favorable tropical climate, agriculture can be practiced all year round, many crops produce 2-3 harvests per year.
Tourism is one of the pillars of the Hainan economy. The island is called the international center of beach tourism. The territory of the island is covered with mountains, lush forests and plantations and is washed on four sides by the warm waters of the South China Sea. According to the China Tourism Research Institute, Hainan is on the list of the most popular provinces in China during the summer holidays.
