Administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest signed a cooperation agreement with Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone
On 17 September 2026, an online meeting was held between the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest and the administration of Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, following which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed. The signing of the document became a significant event in the development of bilateral relations and a new impetus for strengthening cooperation between the parties.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Foreign Affairs Office of Haikou, the administration of Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest.
The Memorandum is aimed at expanding foreign economic relations, attracting foreign investment, promoting bilateral cooperation between business entities of the Grodno Region of the Republic of Belarus and Hainan Province of the People’s Republic of China, as well as implementing joint initiatives. The document lays a solid foundation for long-term interaction and opens up new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
For enterprises of the Grodno Region, the Memorandum creates favourable conditions for entering one of China’s most dynamically developing platforms. Residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest will receive additional opportunities to promote their products on the market of Hainan Province, establish direct contacts with Chinese partners and participate in joint production chains.
Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone is one of the three special zones of Hainan Province under special customs control. At present, it is a territory with the highest level of openness and the greatest number of preferences for entrepreneurial activity, and is also among the 13 key parks designated for the implementation of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port with Chinese characteristics.
FEZ Grodnoinvest is actively developing cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
On 1 July 2026, the management of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest, as part of the delegation from the Grodno Region, took part in the business events of the First Belarusian-Chinese Forum of Regions, which was held in Lanzhou, People’s Republic of China. Following the events, cooperation agreements were signed between FEZ Grodnoinvest and Chinese partners.
On 14–15 April 2026, the management of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in a working visit of the delegation from the Grodno Region to Gansu Province, People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the visit was to deepen and expand cooperation with Gansu Province, as well as to prepare and organize the First Belarusian-Chinese Forum in Lanzhou.
Last year, the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in business events at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Business Forum and the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing.
