FEZ Grodnoinvest and the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan signed a cooperation agreement
The management of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in activities to develop cooperation with the business community of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation as part of the visit of a delegation of business circles of the Grodno region to Ufa on March 21-22, 2023. The investment potential of the free economic zone Grodnoinvest was presented to the business circles of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as a project to create Grodno Industrial Park.
During the visit, Ruslan Kizelevich, Deputy Head of the Administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest, took part in a working meeting with the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan on issues of bilateral cooperation. The parties exchanged experience in attracting investments, improving the investment climate and developing preferential territories for doing business.
As a result of the negotiations, an Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest and the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The document provides for the expansion of foreign economic relations between the economic entities of the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation, as well as the joint holding of bilateral trade and economic events.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan held B2B negotiations on the implementation of investment projects on the territory of FEZ Grodnoinvest, as well as the development of trade and economic relations with residents of FEZ.
Also, the delegation of the Grodno region took part in the official opening of the 33rd international specialized exhibition AgroComplex 2023.
The Russian Federation is a key trade and investment partner of FEZ Grodnoinvest. In 2022, the trade turnover of FEZ Grodnoinvest residents with the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation amounted to more than $46 million, including exports - more than $44 million, imports - more than $2 million. FEZ residents export to the Republic of Bashkortostan: edge tape, decorative film, fiberboards, wooden furniture. Seeds and fruits of oilseeds are imported from the Republic of Bashkortostan.
