Residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest attracted more than 85 million dollars of foreign investments in 2024
In 2024, FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted $86.4 million of foreign investments to finance investment projects, of which 99.8% were foreign direct investments.
The following countries accounted for over 95% of foreign investments: the Russian Federation - 77.6%, the Republic of Poland - 12.5% and the United Arab Emirates - 5.5%. The main sectors in which investments were directed were chemical industry, machinery and metalworking, production of construction materials, woodworking and furniture production.
The volume of incoming FDI on a net basis in 2024 amounted to $77.1 million. The growth rate of FDI on a net basis amounted to 102.9%, and in absolute terms the increase to the level of 2023 amounted to $2.2 million.
More than 90% of FDI on a net basis was attracted by residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest realizing investment projects in Smorgon district, and FEZ residents located in the city of Grodno and Grodno district attracted more than $7 million of foreign investment.
It should also be noted that residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest have ensured the formation of over 95% of the regional indicator of FDI on a net basis during 2024.
In 2024, three new companies were registered in FEZ Grodnoinvest with new investment projects:
- AgroFertCom Ltd. on plot No. 4 (Auls district) of FEZ Grodnoinvest with a project to create production of liquid mineral fertilizers, as well as microfertilizers designed to improve plant nutrition and soil fertility.
- Vagros Systems Ltd. with a project to create production of electronic control gear for modern sodium lamps and control drivers for LED adaptive lamps.
- SONA Kapital Ltd. with the investment project for the creation of production of innovative door systems and aluminum profile constructions at site No. 11, sector 2 of FEZ Grodnoinvest in Smorgon.
