FEZ Grodnoinvest is implementing an innovative project for the production of yarn with high added value
A resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest Slonim Worsted and Spinning Factory JSC is implementing an innovative project worth 9 million rubles to produce a new type of yarn with high added value.

As part of the project, a complex of Italian dyeing equipment was purchased for 1.5 million euros. Technical re-equipment will make it possible to introduce new directions for dyeing chemical tow and staple fiber into production, and will provide an opportunity to expand the color range of yarn from chemical fibers with an even color in finished form. Additionally, new twisting machines were purchased, and the purchase of winding machines is planned.
The project is being implemented in four stages at the expense of innovation funds. Its implementation will create 40 new jobs, increase the competitiveness of products in export markets and replace imports. The geography of exports will be expanded through new markets in Uzbekistan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
Slonim Worsted and Spinning Factory is one of the leaders in Belarus in the production of half-woolen worsted yarn. It has been on the market since 1977. The company has introduced certification of the quality management system in accordance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2001.
Every year, the list of innovative products in FEZ Grodnoinvest is expanding due to the modernization of existing and the creation of new industries. Enterprises of the Grodno region manufacture innovative products for mechanical engineering, textile and chemical industries. In 2021, Gronitex launched a short flax fiber cottonization line according to a new technological chain, Grodno GRODNO GLASSWORKS began construction of a modern production of glass products of any color in a three-drop mode.
