The resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest Kronospan donated medical equipment to Smorgon Central District Hospital
The leadership of Kronospan handed over to the Smorgon central regional hospital a new ultrasound machine, which will be installed in the diagnostics department for research of gynecological diseases of women. This is not the first time that the resident enterprise of FEZ Grodnoinvest has provided sponsorship assistance to the Smorgon region and will continue to keep the social principles of doing business.
Lyudmila Syrnikova, Deputy Director of Kronospan for Commercial Issues, noted the favorable conditions for doing business in the Smorgon region at the investment site of FEZ Grodnoinvest, which allow the company to develop and contribute to the creation of workplaces with decent wages and comfortable working conditions.
In Smorgon, at the investment sites of FEZ Grodnoinvest, Kronospan is implementing a project to create a Furniture Cluster. Since 2015, four enterprises of the Kronospan Group of Companies have been registered as residents of the FEZ, which produce wood-based panels (MDF, OSB, chipboard) and other products of woodworking. Most of the products are exported to the countries of near and far abroad.
The industrial zone of FEZ Grodnoinvest was created in Smorgon in 2015. This is an area of over 750 hectares, where new export-oriented enterprises with investments from the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey and other countries are successfully operating. Recently, the construction of a new woodworking production facility of the Smorgon Experimental Forestry Enterprise has begun at the investment site of the FEZ in Smorgon.
