Volume of foreign direct investment in FEZ Grodnoinvest has doubled in 2020
Over the period of 9 months in 2020, FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted $ 70 million in foreign direct investment. This is twice more compared to the same period last year.
In total, over January - September this year, $ 298 million of foreign investments was attracted. The growth rate amounted to 148%. Over 37% of the total volume or $ 111 million was attracted from the UK. Top 5 investors also include Russia and the Netherlands ($ 46 million each), Austria ($ 41 million) and Cyprus ($ 14 million).
The leaders in attracting foreign investment this year are residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest industrial sites in Smorgon region. Ovetrall, they attracted 93% of the total volume. Group of companies Kronospan, Polish furniture holding Szynaka, Group of companies Sodrugestvo, etc. are implementing their projects here.
FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted $ 19.5 million to Grodno and Grodno region, which is 30% higher compared to 9 months in 2019. Recently, a new company with Irish capital was registered here with an investment project on the photovoltaic power plant construction.
