A new resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest will build a container terminal in Svisloch

On March 25, 2022, Unionway Ltd. was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest. The company is implementing a project for the construction of a container terminal at the site No. 12 of FEZ Grodnoinvest in the area of the Svisloch railway freight station.

The terminal will specialize in reloading containers from 1520 mm gauge to 1435 mm gauge and back, depending on the direction of transportation. Modern equipment will additionally organize the reloading of containers for road transport and storage of containers both in the open air and inside warehouses. The terminal will also be able to handle bulk cargo and will have a storage area for oversized cargo.

The construction of the first stage of the terminal may begin this year, and the company will start providing services from 2025. The total investment costs will amount to more than $23 million. During the project implementation period, it is planned to create 70 new workplaces.

Logistics is one of the most promising areas for the development of the Grodno region. A number of FEZ investment sites have been created to implement projects in this field. Favorable geographical location on the border of the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union, FEZ preferences and developed transport infrastructure attract international investors. Recently, the Portela company has become a new resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest with a project to create a transport and logistics center in the Grodno region. Residents of FEZ Vilaris with capital from the UAE and Silva Logistic BY with investments from the Netherlands are successfully implementing their projects in the field of logistics.
