Investment opportunities of FEZ Grodnoinvest are presented to German business
On December 13, in the format of an online meeting, a presentation of the investment opportunities of FEZ Grodnoinvest and Grodno region for German business took place. The meeting was organized by FEZ administration with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Welcoming words were said by the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Germany Denis Sidorenko and the head of FEZ Grodnoinvest administration Dmitry Rozhkov. The event was moderated by Ruslan Kizelevich, deputy head of FEZ Grodnoinvest administration. In total, more than 20 German companies in the field of logistics, industrial production, trade and consulting took part in the online meeting.
During the online meeting, Natalya Zolotaya, project manager for business development and personnel management at SCHNEIDER GROUP, spoke about the specifics and key trends in the development of the Belarusian market, legal and financial aspects of doing business. SCHNEIDER GROUP offers the consulting and back office services needed to establish and grow a business in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Anna Trus, specialist of the foreign economic activity department of FEZ Grodnoinvest, made a presentation on the investment opportunities of FEZ Grodnoinvest and Grodno region for German business, spoke about the successful experience of implementing projects by FEZ residents.
For reference: The trade turnover of the residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest with Germany in 2020 amounted to USD 45 million and over the past 5 years has increased by more than 35%. Germany ranks 4th in terms of trade turnover of FEZ residents. USD 318.7 million of investments were attracted from Germany. There are 3 residents with capital from Germany.
Oleg Kvetinsky, a specialist in foreign economic activity of the resident company of FEZ Belabedding, shared his experience of implementing an investment project with German capital in FEZ Grodnoinvest. The company was founded in 2006 by the famous German manufacturer of orthopedic mattresses "Fey & Co" and today is one of the leading manufacturers of high-tech sleep products in Belarus. Recently, Belabedding celebrated its 15th anniversary.
In June of this year, the logistics potential of Grodno region and FEZ Grodnoinvest was presented during the online meeting of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy working group "Logistics and Transport Infrastructure" on the topic "Movement of goods across the customs border of the EU - EAEU. Opportunities and Prospects for Fast Border Crossing".
