The construction of a large woodworking plant began on the site of FEZ Grodnoinvest in Svisloch
On December 18, in a festive atmosphere, the construction of the plant of the resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest LLC HS Belacon was launched. European investors, together with the leadership of the Grodno regional executive committee, the Svisloch regional executive committee and the administration of the FEZ Grodnoinvest, laid a memorial capsule in the first stone of the main building of the enterprise.
LLC HS Belacon was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest on June 20, 2019 with the investment project “Construction of the woodworking plant Svisloch”. The project involves the creation of a high-performance complex for the processing of round coniferous timber. The construction is planned to be completed in 2022. Over 85% of finished products will be exported.
The industrial site of FEZ Grodnoinvest in Svisloch region was created in 2018 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus. Its area was 421.83 hectares and included the territory of the Svisloch freight railway station with a customs clearance point.
The creation of the section of FEZ Grodnoinvest No. 12 in Svisloch is due to the interest of domestic and foreign investors in the implementation of projects in the field of logistics and woodworking. Today four FEZ residents with capital from Belarus, the Netherlands and Austria are implementing their projects here. The volume of announced investments is USD 130 million. In the coming years, 330 new jobs will be created in the region.
