International business forum and trade fair "Euroregion" Neman-2019 "were held in Grodno
On September 12, an international business forum was held in Grodno within the framework of the Republican universal trade fair "Euroregion" Neman-2019 ". A record number of experts took part in the section of FEZ Grodnoinvest this year and discussed an investment and export potential of Belarus and Grodno region.
The Republican universal trade fair “Euroregion Neman” and the International Business Forum have already become an important part of the business community’s life of Grodno region. 27 residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest from various industries demonstrated their new products, provided promotion and marketing support. They traditionally occupied a significant share of the exhibitors, because a quarter of the region's entire industrial production is accounted for by residents of FEZ.
Of particular note is the International Business Forum and the section of FEZ Grodnoinvest on the topic of investment attraction to Grodno region and competitiveness products development, extension of geographic growth. Representatives of 10 countries discussed key topics of investment policy, implementation of international and regional projects in various sectors of the economy. Within the framework of the first session, experts from various fields of activity expressed their opinion on FDI attraction to Grodno region.
Vitaly Chuyasov, correspondent for Office Life, and Oleg Ilyin, director of the Agency for Strategic and Economic Development, spoke on the dynamics of the investment climate in Belarus and the key factors for investment attraction.
Eugene Goody, the head of the German-Belarusian Economic Club, spoke on the development of business relations between Germany and Belarus and shared his opinion on the factors affecting the attractiveness of Grodno region for German companies.
Project manager of the well-known Swedish concern IKEA , Michal Adamski told about the perspectives of further development in Belarus. A day earlier he as well as the Polish company had a meeting in FEZ Grodnoinvest and visited a number of resident’s enterprises.
Within the second session, experts discussed competitive growth of domestic enterprises and entries into new export markets. Evgenia Bunos, director of France Group, spoke on effective tools of foreign economic activity. Since the foundation of the France Group in 2010, the company's experts have implemented dozens of projects in B2B and B2G segments in the markets of the EAEU and the Baltic states in close cooperation with private and state organizations in France and Western Europe.
Dmitry Dichkovsky, the Chairman of the Board, Professor at IPM Business School, answered a question about the methods of competitive growth of Belarusian companies on products promotion on international markets.
Alexander Solopov, lawyer at Arzinger Law Office, shared his experience of launching a cluster in Belarus in the field of woodworking and furniture production and answered a question about the future of cluster initiatives in the country, taking into account the specificity of the functionality of many domestic companies.
Dmitry Sukhina, commercial director of the consulting company "Here and Now", spoke about the optimization of internal processes of the companies, and problems of Belarusian manufacturers that they face within the implementation of their business strategies.
Further to the forum with an Australian company Patel Group a memorandum of understanding was signed, an agreement was reached on the development of investment projects worth more than $ 100 million, B2B negotiations were held with the participation of residents of FEZ.
