A logistics company from France is considering the possibility of a terminal establishment in FEZ Grodnoinvest

On February 11, a delegation of Berango logistics company visited the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest. The visit was organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in France, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Biarritz, Patrick Durs, and the management of France Group.

The purpose of the visit was to learn about the investment potential of Grodno region and FEZ Grodnoinvest, as well as discuss the implementation of the investment project on establishment of a multimodal logistics terminal for treatment and cleaning containers and tanks. Earlier, a delegation of yacht manufacturers from Spain visited FEZ Grodnoinvest.

The event was attended by the management of Baranavichy branch of the Belarusian Railway, Economy Committee of Grodno Regional Executive Committee, consulting company France Group and the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in France.

During the meeting, the deputy head of FEZ administration Dmitry Rozhkov spoke about the benefits of implementing investment projects in the logistics sector in FEZ Grodnoinvest, presented information on available land plots, tax and customs preferences. The parties agreed on a detailed study of the technical issues of the project, as well as on the organization of a conference in Grodno with the participation of European logistics operators.

Berango is located on the border with France in Spanish province of Gipuzkoa, part of Basque Country autonomous community. The company has several logistics terminals in Spain and France and works with leading European hazardous cargo handling operators.

Logistics is one of the most promising directions for the development of Grodno region, located on the border of the European and Eurasian Economic Unions. In FEZ Grodnoinvest there are several industrial sites on the border with the Republic of Poland and in Grodno International Airport for the implementation of logistics projects. Recently, FEZ administration held a presentation on the development of Grodno multimodal logistics center.
