Every fifth dollar of investment in FEZ Grodnoinvest was attracted from the Russian Federation
The free economic zone Grodnoinvest is a unique business environment in which investors from more than 30 countries successfully develop their production and logistics projects and export products to countries near and far abroad. Despite the wide geography of cooperation, the Russian Federation has traditionally been one of the key destinations for FEZ residents. Since 2002, Russian investors have attracted more than $400 million in investments to FEZ Grodnoinvest, or about 20% of the total volume of foreign investments. As of September 2023, 9 companies with Russian capital operate as residents of FEZ in the Grodno region. TERRAZYT PLUS Ltd. is a diversified enterprise whose main activity is the production of virtual control devices for piston and jet aircraft, helicopters, and spaceship prototypes of the Virpil Controls brand. All products are developed in close cooperation with the renowned developers of the most popular modern flight and space simulators. More than 99% of products are exported.
Zov-Plita JLtd. is one of the leaders in the production of home furniture made of solid wood and components for kitchen furniture. ZOV-Plita is part of the ZOV Group of Companies. The company uses semi-automatic lines and equipment from leading Italian and German manufacturers. The company owns its own furniture brand, Choix.
BelGro FLLC was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest in 2008. Specializes in the production of cabinet office and kitchen furniture. It is part of the TAIPIT Trade and Industrial Group, one of the largest production associations in the CIS and Eastern European countries in a number of product areas. The company sells its products under the trademarks SKYLAND, SKILLL, ALVALINE, VOGELBAUM.
TechnoChimReagent-Bel Ltd. is a manufacturer of reagents, water and wastewater treatment technologies, control and automation cabinets. The company has been operating as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest since 2011. The main activities are the manufacture of water treatment equipment and equipment for wastewater treatment.
Slonim Cardboard and Paper Plant Albertin JSC was founded in 1806, since 2012 it has been successfully implementing investment projects as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest. The company produces cardboard, paper, sanitary and hygienic products, and stationery materials.
Mostovdrev JSC is one of the largest multi-industry woodworking enterprises in the Republic of Belarus; it has been operating as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest since 2013. The company produces a wide range of products for the furniture, construction and finishing sectors using modern technological equipment from the world's best manufacturers.
Barinpak Ltd. was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest in 2022 with an investment project to organize the production of packaging from high-density fiberboard.
Krones-Grodno Ltd. was registered as a resident of FEZ Grodnoinvest in 2022 and produces mainly upholstered furniture for bars, offices and homes. The product range includes sofas, beds, kitchen corners, armchairs and poufs.
Belagroterminal Ltd. is the largest producer of soybean and rapeseed oils and meal for livestock farms in Belarus. Since 2016, on the territory of FEZ Grodnoinvest has been developing a production and logistics complex with deep processing of oilseeds. He is a member of the international agro-industrial group SODRUGESTVO.
The Russian Federation is one of the key markets for the products of resident enterprises of FEZ Grodnoinvest. Bilateral trade turnover is increasing annually. At the end of 2022, it approached the mark of $1.3 billion, which is 2.9 times more than in 2017. Exports of Belarusian products during this period exceeded $720 million.
The Russian market accounts for the majority of exports from FEZ Grodnoinvest (52%). Residents supply machinery products, including automotive components, transport and equipment, as well as furniture, clothing, chemical products, food, metal and plastic products. Also, residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest are actively expanding the range of products to replace imported analogues in the Union State market.
The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest is actively increasing interaction with the business community of the Russian Federation. Cooperation agreements were concluded with the Vologda Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Voronezh Region, Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan and SEZ Alga, SEZ Tomsk, the Industrial Cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan and SEZ Titanium Valley.
Over the past year, the potential of FEZ Grodnoinvest and the opportunities for cooperation with FEZ residents have been presented in many regions of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the administration and enterprises of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the international exhibition INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, the exhibition of transport and logistics services TransRussia in Moscow, the reverse business mission of the delegation of Belarusian business circles to the Astrakhan region, in the business forum of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod region. Visits to Grodno were organized for delegations from the Primorsky Territory, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Kursk Region, and the management of SEZ Tomsk.
Investors are attracted by the existing and promising infrastructure in the areas of FEZ Grodnoinvest, the developed industrial sector and the human resources potential of the Grodno region. Particular attention is paid to the new project to create the Grodno industrial park, construction of which could begin by the end of this year.
