By 2025 Belarus plans to bring in $ 53 billion of investments

Minister economy of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy named the key tasks for the government in the economic sphere: create all the conditions for Belarus to join the top 30 Doing Business rating and increase investment in the country's economy up to $ 53 billion. 

Ways to achieve these goals are, first of all, the completion of work on improving the regulatory and legal support for investment activities, as well as resolving issues to remove barriers and simplify procedures, provide guarantees to investors.

For the first 9 months of this year, the growth of investments in the whole republic amounted to 9.8%, on a net basis - 47%. At the same time, a long-term task is the reorientation of investments' structure and the reallocation in the direction of increasing the share of investments in industrial production.

Since the beginning of the activity of FEZ Grodnoinvest, investors from 41 countries of the world have invested $ 1.5 billion in the creation of production facilities. In the first nine months of 2018, $ 153 million have already been invested. Most of the investment this year is aimed at implementing projects in woodworking (60%), light industry (18%) and agroindustrial sectors (16%).

In the structure of FEZ Grodnoinvest, in terms of attracted investments and credit resources the following countries are leading: Germany - $ 255 million, Russia - $ 186 million, Poland - $ 129 million, the Netherlands - $ 104 million, Cyprus - $ 101 million. These countries account for 83% of the total volume.
