The results of 9 months of 2019: FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted $223 million of foreign investments
For the 9 months of 2019, FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted over $223 million of foreign investments from 19 countries. Since FEZ establishment in Grodno region, a little more than $930 million have been drawn. It is the best indicator among the republic’s free economic zones.
The key investors this year were business circles from Russia (40% of the total volume), the Netherlands (32%), Germany (13%), Cyprus (8%) and Poland (4%). Moreover, the list of the investors is much wider and includes such countries as the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Sweden, Turkey, Estonia, etc. More than $130 million in total over 9 months of this year were attracted from the EU countries or 59% of the total volume.
In January-September 2019, FEZ Grodnoinvest residents invested 201 million rubles in the implementation of projects, most part of it was spent on the purchase of machinery and equipment (62%). Around 60 million rubles were invested in construction and installation works.
