The investment potential of FEZ Grodnoinvest was presented in Saxony
The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest participated in the meeting of the Saxony-Belarus Business Council and bilateral negotiations with German business circles, which was held on February 26, 2020, in Leipzig.
The meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Yevgeny Shestakov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Federal Republic of Germany Denis Sidorenko, Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Sergey Nabeshko, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Leipzig Christian Kipral, business representatives of two countries.
During the session of the Business Council, promising areas of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, chemical production, logistics, banking and credit sphere were discussed.
The advantages of doing business in free economic zone Grodnoinvest, its investment, industrial and logistics potential were introduced to the German business. Within the meeting, projects on industrial park development in engineering sphere and multimodal logistics center Grodno were presented .
Over recent years, business relations between countries have received added momentum. FEZ residents are increasing trade with representatives of German business. During the visit to Germany, FEZ administration visited the site of the multimodal logistics center "Netzwerk Logistik Mitteldeutschland", located in Leipzig. During the meeting investment opportunities on project implementation were offered to German logistic companies.
For reference: Netzwerk Logistik Mitteldeutschland multimodal logistics center covers 1,400 km. The territory of the center includes the multimodal airport “Leipzig”, the European air cargo terminal DHL, an aviation technical base, 38 cargo terminals, a parking lot with 171 truck place, as well as 3.400 m2 of office space. Netzwerk Logistik Mitteldeutschland includes 120 companies, including Express 24.de, M&M, amazon.de, DHL, DB Schenker, Kühne + Nagel, Volga-Dnepr Group, etc. The capacity of the automobile cargo terminal is over 200,000 tons of cargo per year, the air cargo terminal - over 800,000 tons.
The participation of FEZ Grodnoinvest in the meeting of the Saxony-Belarus Business Council was planned within the framework of the Belarusian part of the Belarusian-German non-governmental business cooperation council, which was held in Minsk on January 21, 2020.
