Grodno region expands trade and economic cooperation with Great Britain

In recent years, Great Britain has firmly secured its status as one of the key economic and investment partners of Belarus. The mutual trade turnover is expanding annually, the services export of Belarusian companies is increasing. And from January 1, 2021, the British market will become even more attractive. In this regard, the Embassy of Belarus in the UK has prepared a list of British companies interested in importing goods from Grodno region. More details in our material.

The list of goods produced by enterprises of Grodno region and promising for export to the countries of the European Union and the UK includes products of agriculture (oil, lard, alcoholic beverages, vegetables), chemical (pipes, hoses), textile industry (suits, jackets, T-shirts, blouses , corsetry), machine building (binoculars, liquid crystal devices, parts of electrical equipment) and woodworking (furniture, mattress bases, boxes, boards). Additionally, the Embassy of Belarus in Great Britain is ready to provide support in finding partners from the British side and collecting primary information about their reliability, developing acceptable conditions for the supply of products and settlements. In total, FEZ Grodnoinvest residents attracted over $ 130 million of investments from Great Britain. At the end of 2019, export amounted to $ 7.4 million. Belagroterminal Ltd., Lakokraska JSC, Kronospan Ltd. became the largest exporters.

Promising areas of cooperation between business circles of Great Britain and FEZ Grodnoinvest are the implementation of investment projects on available land plots and production facilities, industrial cooperation and contract manufacturing, expansion of dealer networks of FEZ residents, development of tourist infrastructure within the boundaries of the park Augustow Canal, logistics.
