Export of residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest grew by 23% in the first quarter of 2021

In January – March 2021, the export of residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest amounted to $ 280 million, which is 23% more compared to the same period last year. The key sales markets are Russia, Ukraine, and the countries of European Union. The share of export in the total revenue of residents increased to 70%.

The export of Belarusian products to Russia amounted around $180 million, which is 21% more compared to the first quarter of 2020. To other CIS countries were exported products worth $35,4 million, including Ukraine - $25,7 million.

Export of residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest to the countries of the European Union amounted $58,9 million with a  growth rate of 142%. Poland remains the key sales market. Product worth $30 million have been exported to the neighbor country. The deliveries to Germany, France, Estonia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Lithuania and the Netherlands have grown multiple time.

Export to third countries amounted to $6,4 million, which is 3,8 times more compared to the first quarter of 2020. The supplies of Belarusian products to Vietnam, Egypt, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain and Turkey have grown significantly.

The residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest are exporting a wide list of products of chemical, woodworking, textile, machinery and agriculture branches. In the first quarter of 2021, the export of polycarboxylic acids, fertilizers, wood-based panels, plywood, furniture, rapeseed oil and other products have grown significantly.

In the future, international online trading platforms can become a driver of export growth of Belarusian products. In April of the current year, the project of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Export Online was launched, within the framework of which residents of FEZ took part in the first webinar on trading in the electronic platform the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest is ready to assist in expending export to the markets of near and far abroad.
