The delegation of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the conference of FEZ of the Republic of Belarus
On October 4-5, the delegation of FEZ Grodnoinvest took part in the second conference of free economic zones of the Republic of Belarus. This year, its participants discussed the challenges of today and new approaches to the work of FEZ, including industrial cooperation, the implementation of import-substituting projects, access to financial instruments, access to alternative export markets.
As part of the conference, a presentation on the prospects for the development of industrial and investment activities was made by the head of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov. He spoke about the results of the activities of FEZ in the Grodno region in the first half of 2022, identified a number of factors hindering the development of FEZ and described ways to overcome them.
Dmitry Rozhkov noted that at present the main resources of the administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest are directed to two key tasks:
- effective implementation of announced investment projects;
- support for the sustainable functioning of existing enterprises of residents.
According to the results of work in the first half of 2022, residents of FEZ Grodnoinvest attracted more than $138 million of foreign direct investment with a growth rate of 259%, exported goods worth $714 million with a growth rate of 110%.
