The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod region visited the free economic zone Grodnoinvest
The delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod region led by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region Evgeny Lyulin visited the free economic zone Grodnoinvest. Parliamentarians got acquainted with the investment, industrial, trade and economic potential of FEZ, and studied the details of the project to create the Grodno industrial park.
During the meeting, the Head of the Administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest Dmitry Rozhkov spoke about the current and potential interaction between resident enterprises of FEZ and the business community of the Nizhny Novgorod region, presented a number of promising investment projects for implementation on the territory of FEZ and the special tourist and recreational park Augustow Canal.
The Russian Federation is one of the key partners of FEZ Grodnoinvest. Bilateral trade turnover is increasing annually, which at the end of 2022 amounted to $1.3 billion. Positive dynamics are also observed in 2023. Based on the results of 7 months of this year, the growth in exports of FEZ resident enterprises is estimated at 109%. In total, FEZ attracted more than $400 million in investments from the Russian Federation.
The trade turnover of FEZ Grodnoinvest with the Nizhny Novgorod region at the end of 2022 amounted to $23 million. Belarusian enterprises exported automotive components, clothing items, conductor products, and fiberboards.
