Visa-free zones in Brest and Grodno regions plan to merge

The Government of the Republic of Belarus is developing a draft decree on the consolidation of visa-free zones in the Brest and Grodno regions.

In 2019, a draft decree on the consolidation of visa-free territories will be prepared. The document will establish a single visa-free territory, including Park Augustow Canal and the adjacent Brest Tourist and Recreation Zone, the main part of which is the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, as well as the territories of additional regions.

The term of temporary stay of foreign citizens is proposed to be increased up to 15 days and to introduce additional border crossing points of Belarus.

Since the beginning of 2019, the territory of Park Avgustov Canal Park was visited by 22,214 visa-free tourists, which is 2.5 times more than during the same period last year.
