In 2020 Belarus joned the group of countries with a high level of population IQ. According to the World Population Review, the average IQ was 97 points. By this indicator, Belarus keep ahead of Israel, Slovakia, Ireland, Lithuania and other countries.

Belarus is consistently among the states with a high level of education and human capital. For example, according to the Human Development Index in 2020, the country took 53rd position among 189 countries, according to the Education Level Index - 30th position, ahead of France, Italy, Spain, and other developed and developing countries.

Some of the best conditions for doing business have been created in the Grodno region. Regional and district centers Grodno, Lida, Smorgon have been repeatedly recognized as the best in terms of business climate in Belarus. The region has a strong educational and scientific base with competencies in various industries. More than 18% of the region's residents have higher education.
