$135 million of foreign investments were received by FEZ Grodnoinvest in the 1st quarter of 2022

In January-March 2022, FEZ Grodnoinvest received $134.5 million of foreign investment from 12 countries. The volume of attracted foreign direct investment on a net basis for the same period amounted to $98.7 million.

In the 1st quarter of 2022, companies from the Netherlands, Cyprus, Austria, Great Britain and Poland acted as key investors in FEZ Grodnoinvest. Investments also came from the UAE, where a presentation of the opportunities of FEZ Grodnoinvest for Arab companies was recently held.

The bulk of investments fell on companies in the industrial park of FEZ Grodnoinvest in the Smorgon district, where world manufacturers Kronospan, Sodrugestvo, Szynaka Meble, Europlasteks Invest successfully operate. More than $16 million were attracted by residents of FEZ located in the city of Grodno.

The administration of FEZ Grodnoinvest is actively negotiating with potential investors from near and far abroad. During the first three months of this year, business meetings were held with partners from Russia, Poland, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, India and other countries.

The Unionway company is registered as a FEZ resident, which is implementing a project to build a container terminal at the site No. 12 of FEZ Grodnoinvest near the Svisloch railway freight station. With the Arab company BRIKOIL TRANS-F.Z.E. a Memorandum of Intent was signed to develop a transport and logistics terminal in the Grodno region worth up to $100 million.
